Bhopal the Capital City Of Madhya Pradesh is one of the rare and beautiful cities of India, which is having a combination Development, wilderness and natural beauty. Kerwa Dam, is an Eco-tourism site, it’s a place which is 20 kms from the Bhopal Junction station. A place where you can see the beauty of Bhopal, an awesome view of nature. where on one hand is the lake and on the other hand its the hill and a passage in between the lake and the hill. best time to visit Bhopal is during the end of rainy (monsoon) season and the beginning of the winter season as during the summer season the water level is low. Water flowing through the dam gives you an amazing look that is very rare to see. A very romantic and adventurous place to visit. Public transport is very easily available to visit Kerwa Dam in every season. This water reservoir with a catchment area of about 69 sq. km. have been constructed to meet the water demands of Bhopal city during dry summer seasons. This dam is one of the main attractions of the City of Lakes (Bhopal), its a different feeling every time I visit that place. If you Climb to the top of the hill near Kerwa dam and you can see it as a whole, there is the M.P. tourisms recreation center from where you can use the zip line to enjoy the view from above the lake.
The Climate is moderate in Bhopal, the summers are hot and winters are cold but it doesn't means very extreme conditions. It rains moderately during rainy seasons but still the weather is pleasant through out the year.
